About Amelia Island - Oak Marsh (Amelia Island, FL)
The Oak Marsh Golf Course is one of the truly classic Pete Dye designed golf courses in the world. The course was built in 1972 shortly after the completion of the Harbour Town Golf Links at Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Oak Marsh is noted for its tight fairways and small greens, meandering along serpentine salt marsh creeks and through the moss draped heritage oaks that Amelia Island is famous for.
At par 72, this 6,500 yard course has fourteen holes with water hazards and numerous bulkheaded greens. A variety of bunkers are placed throughout the course to add to the challenge and a natural approach has been maintained as well with the use of coquina shell cart paths, native plant life and preserved habitats for the local wildlife. Walking is allowed after 4:00 pm.

Steven (Avon, CT) says:
Course was in great shape. Pace of play was slowed at times due to slow play up ahead. Perhaps a Ranger could have moved things along a bit faster.

The fairways were still brown, because of the time of the year. Other then that all the courses were great

Zachary (Cape Elizabeth, ME) says:
This is the workhorse of the resort complex. Interesting holes, variety, good risk reward, very good greens. Pleasant pro staff, less than friendly starters (grumpy old men, probably wish they were playing). Good enough for multiple rounds. Going back next year!
