The two golf legends have collaborated on a truly remarkable course of unparalleled beauty, challenge, and design. World Golf Village - Slammer & Squire ~ 3.32 miles (Not Driving Distance)
The World Golf Village is considered the most ambitious golf project in the history of the game. The first course, The Slammer and The Squire, was designed by architect Bobby Weed and named for golf legends Sam Snead and Gene Sarazen. Golfers of all levels are provided a challenge, yet five sets of tees allow the player to choose a length to meet his or her ability. Golf Club At South Hampton ~ 5.78 miles (Not Driving Distance)
The Golf Club at South Hampton is another great Mark McCumber design found in the Jacksonville area. The course features 16 large lakes and over sixty contoured bunkers surrounded by acres of tall pines and native oaks. The designer's intent is to present every golfer the appropriate risk, offering encouragement to the novice while still challenging the experienced player. All players will have to watch out for the 571-yard 17th, a brutal five par that is definitely one of the toughest holes in the area.... more info.
Cimarrone Country Club ~ 6.59 miles (Not Driving Distance)
Known as "The Wild One," Cimarrone weaves its way around 17 lakes, creating a series of beautiful scenic views while challenging your game. The David Postlethwait design features rolling fairways, contoured greens, and five sets of elevated tees. Always meticulously maintained, this dynamic layout will provide a memorable, demanding, and enjoyable day of golf. Cimarrone also features a terrific clubhouse with a stocked pro shop and a popular restaurant. The course is an easy 15-minute drive south of Baymeadows, just minutes off I-95.
